Security Center

QuickLink is a redirect platform, and we treat safety as a first-class feature. Every destination goes through Google Safe Browsing checks, interstitial consent for risky hops, and Direct 301 is withheld on unsafe targets.

What we enforce

  • Unsafe destinations still get links, but 301 shows a warning and auto-falls back to interstitial.
  • We delete unsafe links and ban abusive accounts that repeatedly mask harmful content.
  • User consent remains on redirect pages for flagged or unknown URLs.
  • Safe Browsing runs at creation (UI + API) and caches verdicts; admins can bulk re-check.

Redirect Safety & Consent

Unsafe URL masking is a real risk with any shortening service. We mitigate this by combining Safe Browsing, interstitial consent pages, and tiered access. If Safe Browsing flags a URL, we still create both the standard redirect and the 301 variant, but the 301 path shows a 5-second warning and then routes through the normal flow. Users always see consent when a destination is unknown or risky.

Repeated abuse (malware, phishing, scams) leads to link deletion and account bans. We also monitor anonymous limits, rate-limit free usage, and require CAPTCHA for unauthenticated creators. Admin tooling supports bulk safety re-checks and takedowns.

Data & Logging

We log minimal redirect metadata (device, browser, timestamps) for analytics and abuse defense. Unsafe hits are recorded to improve detection and enforcement.

See our Privacy, Terms, Cancellation, Cookies, and this Security notice for full details.

User Responsibilities

  • Do not shorten malware, phishing, scams, or abusive content.
  • Respect intellectual property and applicable laws.
  • Use interstitial consent flows for destinations that could surprise users.
  • Report suspicious links to support so we can investigate and act quickly.
